The school asked me to make a cake to incorporate their 20th anniversary of the opening of the school with a Christmas theme. My airbrush teacher came up trumps with the design. All I had to do was to interpret his design in sugar. Well done Vince.
This is a different take on my wedding cake with fabric roses. This time I have used ruby coloured and shimmering white roses. It did look stunning.
I also had to make some mini cakes (about 2inches high) and I put a ruby fabric rose on each cake. They complemented the cake really well.
Amy's mum brought me a pencil case with the zipper in deep purple. She told me that she wanted the covering on the cake to be that colour. I was hesitant at first but once I managed to mix the exact right colour and covered the cake, it looked great. I also liked the idea of having an oval cake instead of a round one.
Overall, both Amy and her mum were really pleased.
This cake was made for my mum and dad's golden anniversary. I brought it with me from England to Malta and the stewardess was so kind and let me put the cake on the seat next to me all the way.
The bride contacted me especially to make an Enterprise cake for her husband to be as a surprise. The wedding had an enterprise theme and wanted the cake to compliment it. She specifically wanted a replica of the enterprise in sugar.
It was a difficult cake from the start but after modifications, we managed to achieve what she wanted.
Her husband was so so pleased with the overall surprise and of course, the cake.
I made this cake for my niece. Young Maria (my other niece) helped in deciding some of the designs for the patchwork. She also cut and fixed all the stars and paisleys for me. I love the colours and the squiggles. Squiggles was the request from Rebecca as she is always doodling on paper.
